Your Opportunity: The Director of Operations will lead the planning and execution of manufacturing and some non-manufacturing operations at the TVI-ATL facility. This position is responsible for the successful coordination of required internal resources to develop and execute on near and long-term site Director of Operations must effectively collaborate across the organization to deliver on site goals, operational excellence initiatives and quality improvements. The successful candidate will collaborate with other business leaders to share ideas and check progress of objectives and must also create detailed reports based on data and observations while developing strong business relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors. During the initial onboarding period, this role will focus on our back-end operations and process related efficiency gains in areas like Purchasing, Planning, Scheduling, automation and will gradually take on oversight of select front office departments. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards for all employees. Supports the implementation of automated systems throughout the plant Leads, facilitates, and contributes to the work of deliverables related to overall facilities planning and design, space management, real estate transactions, and projects with third-party vendors. Serves as the primary member of the leadership team and drives culture and initiatives that will support strategic goals and objectives. Develops and implements long-term plans and short-term goals in furtherance of the organization's vision, mission, and values. Demonstrates an understanding of operational and strategic links between segments of the organization, which facilitate interdisciplinary planning, problem solving, and improvements. Collaborates with key stakeholder groups, vendors and contractors, community and governmental agencies, outside technical support providers to maintain a network of support improving existing properties under management and assuring awareness of new opportunities. Contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing facility costs, improving productivity, revenue generating capacity, and image of the organization. Prioritizes resource utilization against key indicators and operational needs; uses cost-benefit and value assessment to set or change priorities and engage staff in efficient utilization of resources and reduction of waste. Manages all property and capital assets ensuring that the property is properly maintained with a focus on providing financially self-sustainable solutions. Responsible for oversight on all appropriate insurances, inspections, and fees to municipalities and service providers. Develops effective teams by attracting highly skilled employees, integrating employees into the organization, and developing and retaining team members to meet current and future business objectives. In conjunction with Human Resources and other leaders, interviews candidates for open positions and makes hiring decision recommendations Establishes and communicates performance metrics, standards, goals and objectives; conducts performance reviews Recommends salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, dismissals and terminations Counsels employees on educational and job opportunities which will enhance their career development Coaches employees on performance issues Conducts periodic meetings with staff to keep them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and company Administers all policies and procedures set forth by Taylor and in accordance with the employee handbook Teaches how to plan, schedule, and assigns workloads, and coordinates workflow and procedures to maximize service; cross trains staff to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions You Must Have: 8+ years of applicable and progressive experience in manufacturing and operations leadership Proven track record in the use of Continuous Improvement tools and methodology such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques & metrics Strong knowledge of plant operations, warehouse management, demand planning and Capital Expenditures Solid understanding of unique customer requirements, and skills to strategically plan for effective production runs Advanced level proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint We Would Also Prefer: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field plus 5+ years of applicable and progressive experience in manufacturing and operations leadership Demonstrated experience in providing creative solutions to complex customer facing issues Direct experience interacting with customer leadership team(s) to accomplish business objectives.
