Insurance Defense Attorney

Overview We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at James F. Butler & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies. This role involves handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial, combining office and virtual work arrangements. Responsibilities Handle high-volume caseload from discovery through trial Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures Conduct legal research, prepare written and oral advocacy, and manage time-sensitive caseload Work in a hybrid role, combining office and virtual work arrangements Qualifications Law degree from ABA accredited law school Active license to practice law in New York 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience Experience working in a paperless environment Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation Potential salary range: $125,625 - $160,000 Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary Applicants must be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately.
