Posting Summary Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Peer Support Specialist III to work in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Counseling Professions. The Peer Support Specialist III provides peer support services and other program outreach and fundraising support for Eye2Eye Peer Support Program for Vision Loss. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Provide phone-based one-to-one and group peer support services. Support program outreach and promotion activities, which may include support in tabling events and/or developing and delivering presentations as feasible. Support grant seeking and other fundraising efforts, which may include participation in grant and other fundraising meetings, and assistance with development of proposals. Participation in weekly group supervision meetings. Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Performs other duties as assigned Position Status Per Diem Hours Per Week 20 Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a fully remote work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred Qualifications Current enrollment in psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling and social work graduate program preferred.
