Currently, we have an opening for an Associate Wealth Advisor to join our team. The following is a list of what is expected of an Associate Wealth Advisor at Novi. Core Values for every employee The desire to deliver excellence in everything you do. Position-Specific Standards Client meetings Attend client meetings and capture the details of their planning needs, current circumstances, and action items Provide meeting summary emails to clients upon request Serve as the primary contact for data gathering for new clients Review data as it is received and enter the information into our planning software and storage folders Review and discuss data and assumptions with lead advisor and assist with development of financial planning recommendations Conduct investment analysis of existing holdings and help prepare an investment plan to present to clients Analyze risk tolerance of each client and provide feedback to lead advisor Review prior client meeting notes and correspondence to develop discussion points Prepare core planning deliverables per agenda for review by lead advisor Prepare advanced planning recommendations for review by lead advisor as assigned Maintain client files to ensure they are organized and up to date Eventually serve as lead or servicing advisor for new clients based on their service offering and classification Investment management Classify new securities in reporting software Reconcile trades Assist lead advisor with development of investment plans for clients Implement investment plans for clients by setting up and maintaining settings (cash management, hold do not trade, etc.) in our trading software Monitor client accounts for trading opportunities (cash management, tax trading, rebalancing, etc.) and propose trades to lead advisor Review quarterly performance reports for accuracy and action items Develop and present Investment Policy Statements (IPS) to clients Present investment education slides to clients Other Ensure Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) are satisfied each year and assign distribution requests to operations team as needed. Coordinate between the lead advisor and the operations team to ensure timely processing of all action items. Interact with client's attorneys and accountants on plan implementation Ensure IRA and retirement plan contributions are made in a timely manner Provide backup support to operations by assisting with fielding all incoming phone calls Create income tax projections and determine proper IRA tax withholding for federal and state taxes Create income tax projections and evaluate the potential for Roth IRA conversions Assist with all non-operational customer service questions from clients Responsible for facilitating (not processing) distribution requests from clients (entering into CRM to start workflow, determining account, tax withholding, frequency, ACH/Wire, etc.) Participate in internal committees as assigned Review forms prepared by operations to ensure accuracy as needed Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required Must possess the Series 65 license (or able to pass within 90 days of hire) Completed some of the CFP® curriculum or undergrad with CFP® coursework preferred 2-3 years previous experience in a professional environment preferred.
