Our team is seeking a seasoned Fraud Analyst to join our Trust and Safety Analytics team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our products from fraudulent activities. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze data to uncover patterns of fraud, providing insights into how bad actors operate. This requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and data-based story telling. You will be responsible for creating dashboards that will allow your stakeholders to monitor and mitigate these activities efficiently. What you'll bring 4+ years of experience analyzing data in domains such as cybersecurity, digital products, service operations, e-commerce marketplace, customer care, finance, and marketing. 4+ years of experience building dashboards using Tableau/Looker or any other visualization tool. Extensive SQL experience, particularly in your current role. The ability to simplify complex concepts. Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end, systems-oriented quantitative thinking. Outstanding communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Proactive and inquisitive learner: seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities to enhance the business, rather than reacting to circumstances. Strong organization, time management, and task prioritization skills. The ability to work independently and make decisions with little direction. Familiar with using Github. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Finance, Advanced Analytics, a related field or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree preferred. How you will lead In this role you'll be required to: Transform data into actionable insights for various stakeholders. Design, track, and evaluate KPIs across all operations. Maintain regular communication with leadership, peers, and stakeholders, emphasizing feasible goals and trackable business results. Collaborate extensively with data engineers to ensure consistent access to reliable data for stakeholders. Create your own ETLs when quick solutions are required. Visualize and effectively communicate findings through building dashboards. Deliver oral and written briefings to senior leaders and key stakeholders. Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners (policy teams, product management, data analytics, operations, engineering, and algorithms) to identify, assess, and resolve issues related to your products. Stay updated on trust and safety trends, emerging fraud threats, and new systems and tools to enhance risk prevention and detection capabilities for our platform and products.
