Operations Generalist Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Location: Canandaigua, NY (Hybrid scheduling available) What does an Operations Generalist do? An Operations Division Float is responsible for providing superior servicing and administrative support within the Banking Operations, Facilities, and Loan Operations departments based on the current business needs of the division. This position will be responsible for performing various functions to supplement staff availability across the Operations Division and must complying with operating policies and procedures established for the operations function; coordinating work within the assigned department; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; performing administrative tasks to support department operations; and provide guidance and on-the-job training to operations employees as assigned. What is needed to be successful in this role? A high school diploma or high school equivalency; associates preferred A minimum of four (4) years' experience in a banking position normally required, operations experience highly preferred. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Proficiency with a PC and associated programs (such as Microsoft Office) Good mathematics skills, including calculating interest accruals. What does a successful first year in this position look like? Completion of 90-day Teller training Performs clerical duties: filing (including electronic), data input, data upload verification, processing various transactions on the bank's core servicing system, scans items to the bank's electronic document repository system. Able to resolve all routine and many non-routine issues/disputes throughout the loan and deposit account life cycles. Monitor and act on a variety of system generated exception reports. Perform a variety of tasks related to the ongoing maintenance of the CNB Loan Portfolio. Able to onboard most loan products through manual entry to the bank's core loan servicing system if automated interfaces to applicable loan origination system is unavailable or fails. Research issues and resolves ACH and check processing issues, including review of the duplicate check reports. Process wire transfers to Fed and provides quality control on wires, verifying all information is correctly entered. What makes working at CNB different? At CNB, we are Investing in You.
