The key role will be to support the overall Country Risk Limits process. Through Country Risk Limits, Citi defines risk appetite for the Country. The person has to be a strategic professional and thinker who will closely follow the management and usage of such limits and will help in the approval process, in the monitoring and in the handling of breaches. The person needs to have network capabilities and excellent communication skills in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others in decision making. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsibilities: The position requires a candidate with general management skills, leadership abilities and administrative experience, who can manage and lead a variety of activities geared at helping manage the overall management of limits. The person will be a supporter and facilitator of country risk limit management across Citi and will support all markets where Citi operates. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of limits and actions needed around them. Manages and analyzes risks associated with proposed limits in the context of the different markets that Citi operates and how they feed Citi overall risk apatite. Anticipates country needs and proactively generates ideas to deliver innovative solutions and improve Citi's risk profile. Ensures that escalated issues are resolved with urgency. Responsible to monitor limits and escalate breaches as soon as reasonable. Help in the preparation and approval of remediation plans when needed. Builds partnerships across functions/regions; collaborates with others to identify problems, provide solutions, and reach agreements. Creates and sustains a network of established relationships. Influences decisions that have impact on company revenues and assets. Builds awareness around regulatory matters and/or highlighting potential regulatory issues that impacts Country Risk approvals. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding of Citi. Support in formulating cross-franchise initiatives and programs to seek efficiencies in the Limit Management process. Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience Credit Officer, Limit Managements, Risk Management & Controls. Highly motivated, team oriented, organized. . Excellent communication skills in order to negotiate internally Able to understand and articulate data and analysis from a practical perspective. Familiar with Key Risk Indicators that are relevant to the areas covered; understands how they are collected. Strong negotiation and communication skills: ability to present to senior stakeholders Experience in developing solutions and action plans Good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources.
