Job Description Summary: This position coordinates the intern's assignment, communications for Emergency Department Attending and Hospital Attending Physicians, central communications for the Nursing staff. He/She acts as liaison for outside hospitals for assigning Attending Physicians, Emergency Department Representative for incoming calls from families and former patients. The ED Admin Specialist coordinates patient activities in the Emergency Department, including: medical record management, order management, admissions, registration, scheduling, unit logistics and administration. This position also performs miscellaneous duties in a fast-paced, critical environment. Minimum Qualifications: High School or GED (Required) High school Diploma or General Diploma (GED). Knowledge of medical terminology, communication, organizational skills, proficiency in spelling, typing and excellent customer service skills.
