GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position supports both the Tax Manager and the Accounting Manager (approximately 50% 50% for each role, respectively).CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Accounting SupportPrepare and process monthly journal entry for Sales &or Use Tax Accruals by Job in Sage 300 CRE. Perform tax research utilizing research tools in preparation of the tax accruals.Support Bid Team as needed to determine appropriate tax rate by job.Maintain registration matrix with expiration dates.Renew and track all business, sales, and use licenses.Washington PWC recons calculating and submission to tax mgr. for filing.Other duties as assigned.Tax SupportCreate Tax Calendar using Crowe templateAll registrations updated and on Tax CalendarOpen mail to identify if SalesUse tax Withholding, Corp IncFranchise, Bus Personal PropertyCreate 3rd party logins with individualized loginspasswords and will be filing monthly salesuse tax returns.All entities have tax reg up to date.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Experience: Must possess 2+ years experience as a Financial Analyst. Prior Sales Use Tax experience is helpful, but not required.Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving, time management skills, strong interpersonal skills, documentation skills, organizational skills and multi-tasking skills are essential.Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications. Proficiency in Accounting.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the customers, account representatives, company representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance at the facility or other designated location. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Use office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and facsimile machines. Ability to communicate in writing in a clear, concise and effective manner. Sit or stand for extended time periods. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment.
