This new Advanced Sensors Modeling Principal Intel Analyst (PIA) position was created to lead the expansion of the Squadron's mission to model three new classes of emerging advanced sensor types. The PIA is required to stand up a new team, conduct research and train the team on new technologies, and engineer first-of-kind modeling architectures and processes while building out the required modeling and simulation capability to characterize the threat to Allied Combat Systems. Mentors and oversees professional development and training of the section's analysts, building the team's size and expertiseConstructs engineering analysis and development of digital models of advanced operational and emerging military electronic threat sensor systems such as advanced radars, jammers, and various other sensors, weapons, and datalinks. Modeling activities and required expertise spans the fidelity spectrum from parametric to emulativeIntegrates and supports operation of threat models within simulation environments including the Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE), the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), as well as Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) partners' facilities for applicable productsConducts continuous product evaluations to ensure accuracy of inputs, appropriateness of methodology, adequacy of content, and credibility of resultsDevises new methods, toolsets, and dynamic models to facilitate threat assessment throughout NASIC. Participates in the evaluation and exploitation activities of electronic sensors and sources, and establishes intelligence value of collected dataPrepares and presents technical subject matter in studies, reports, technical briefs and digital products in formats tailored to customer needs.
