The Environmental Specialist will support environmental compliance activities within assigned chemical manufacturing process units, including regulatory and companies requirements for all environmental media (air, water, waste compliance). The Environmental Specialist is a member of the local EHS team and continuously collaborates and partners with Global, North American, and local teams regarding EHS culture, regulations, compliance, and best practice. Leveraging your experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and your education in a related field, you will support the EHS organization with addressing EHS issues, overall performance and culture at the Geismar site. Existing knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and EHS experience is considered advantageous in this role. Applying your knowledge of major source environmental regulations and regulatory permitting processes will be essential in successful achievement of roles and responsibilities. Monitoring and maintaining environmental compliance programs is an essential expectation for completing timely and accurate reporting requirements (e.g. Title V, NESHAP, NSPS, TRI, GHG, Waste, Water and Corporate) Collaborating with your EHS peers, operations personnel and site leadership, you will drive continuous improvement in environmental performance. Using your excellent presentation and communication skills will aid in continuous performance improvement. Utilizing your computer skills and digitalization knowledge will aid you in developing and implementing standardized processes for effective and efficient completion of EHS-related responsibilities.
