Senior Wastewater Treatment Operator

We are seeking a Senior Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team in Mendham, NJ. This is a full-time position with responsibility for operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant as part of an operations team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the treatment system, tracking system performance, making recommendations for system improvements and completing DMR reports. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Work:Provides operation, maintenance, and administration of the plantMonitors gauges, meters, and control panels and interprets readings and takes appropriate action for proper operationMaintains operating logsOperates valves and gates; starts and stops pumps, motors, and equipment as necessary to control and adjust flows and processes as requiredAs necessary, performs functions of laboratory technicianResponsible for plant housekeeping and for following safety rules and regulations in day-to-day activitiesPerform related tasks as requiredSkillsRequired Qualifications:Must have a NJDEP N-3 Industrial Wastewater license, strong familiarization of automated plant process control and operationsPrefer 5 years related field and operations experienceCandidates must be reliable, self-motivated and possess strong mechanical and problem solving skillsMust be familiar with NJDEP rules and regulations, recordkeeping procedures, and completion of monthly DMR submissions40 hour HAZWOPER training, strong electrical, and instrumentation skills preferredMust have valid motor vehicle operator's licenseStrong organizational skills and detail orientedAbility to work independentlyProficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
