Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview We are seeking an Electrical Designer/Engineer with professional experience within the field of architectural engineering who possesses the ability to work on electrical designs for multi-family, senior living, hotel and retail projects under the guidance of Licensed Professional Engineers and other senior staff. Applicants will be expected to perform work in AutoCAD and Revit. Candidates will be placed under the direction of our Electrical Discipline Leader. All applicants will be expected to communicate well with clients, external project team consultants and other in-house staff to produce quality designs and design drawings. Candidates are expected to contribute to the efficient production of deliverables by agreed upon timelines while reporting to both their Discipline Leader and Project Managers. An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high degree of technical competency or the potential to grow into an independent designer while also demonstrating a strong knowledge of CAD/Revit operation, an ability to work well on a team and the willingness to learn and grow. Applicants must be flexible, passionate and able to multi-task in the context of a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide drafting support to Engineers and other senior staff on Electrical design for building projects Coordinate design tasks, design packages and organize design presentation Willingness to be an active member of a collaborative and creative team Able to take direction The person we are looking for would ideally be: Quality driven and self-motivated Organized A team player with a positive attitude Detail oriented with a commitment to design excellence Experienced communicating technical information with others Experience working directly with clients Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is a must Certifications/Licenses Professional Engineer license is a plus Must-Have Skills 8+ years of experience for a Senior Level/Management position. Experience working in our direct fields for other MEP companies is a large benefit Nice to have these projects. (Multi-Family Housing, Senior Living, Hotel and Mixed Use) Complete competence in AutoCad & Revit. Okay for either. Would like them to have both. Nice-To-Have Skills Strong communication skills both verbally and in written format Being analytical and strategic Being innovative and thorough Leadership of fellow team members Being approachable and respectful Multitasking - Being able to work on own initiative Ability to work well with others and to communicate project requirements. Field Contracting experience is a plus
