Job Description Machinist Salary: $23/hr. Location: Archbald, PA (fully on site) Industry: Government/Defense Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment Shift: M-TH 5:30am-4:00pm Clearance: Ability to obtain Qualifications: High School Diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience Experience with stock-cutting saws, Pracico wash stations, and Burr bench work Experience setting up and operating plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines and other machining operations Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings Responsibilities: Tasks range from setting up and operating plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines to performing machining operations such as compound angles and contours; boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear, spine, and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances. May select, mount, and align various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling, plan sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; determine, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures. EOE/ADA #clearance IND123
