CBTS is currently seeking a Mainframe Assembler Programmer for a position located onsite in Cincinnati, OH Job Summary: The Mainframe Assembler Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, configuration, contingency planning and technical support of mainframe technology. Manages products lifecycle to assure operational availability; gathers data and analyzes capacity and performance. Fulfill engineering responsibilities in the area of mainframe languages, software change management solutions, development and productivity tools. Responsibilities: Serve as mainframe Subject Matter Expert (SME). Participates in infrastructure planning, providing insight into the future of their area(s) of technology. Maintains thorough understanding of current and future infrastructure. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, documenting, and publishing the mainframe language and development tools directions and technology roadmaps as well as coordinating cross-departmental projects that involve mainframe application migrations. Demonstrates broad technical knowledge of multiple technologies, or an in-depth knowledge of one technology including its impact on other technologies. Maintains an industry awareness of new developments in their area of expertise; learns and applies new and emerging concepts very quickly. Forms productive networks with internal and external customers, the vendor community and peers in the industry. Ensures proper documentation of complex technical systems to facilitate effective handover to operations. Qualifications: Mainframe Assembler and DB2 experience Platform Engineering - Mainframe and Real-Time Transaction Processing experience TSO and VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method) Requires knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines within the mainframe domain as well as strong application design and development skills. Expert knowledge of the Mainframe Operating System and Hardware.
