Description The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a Marketing and Communications Writer to support the business development and capture activities of our Network Practice Area at our Leidos Headquarters in Reston, VA.POSITION SUMMARY:The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams within the Network practice to create compelling marketing content that promotes our digital modernization service; develop clear and compelling content for marketing materials to include white papers, brochures, case studies, web content and social that resonates with our target audience. This person will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to quickly build an in-depth comprehension of highly technical concepts (Infrastructure automation, multi-cloud operations, software-defined networks, network as a service, network AIOps, etc.) In this role, you will be tasked with proactively gathering and curating case studies, collateral, demo scripts, proof points, white papers, and other relevant materials to enhance the business development initiatives of the Network Practice Area. The selected candidate will be self-motivated with a strong sense of pride in developing quality written documents in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:No initial clearance is required to start; however, you must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required).PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:•Content Development: Develop engaging marketing materials that are clear, concise, persuasive that positions Leidos as the leading Digital Modernization Network experts. This includes content for brochures, white papers, web site, case studies, repeatable offerings, and industry events.•Go to Market Campaign: Work with marketing managers to align content with campaign goals. This requires the ability to write and edit campaign collateral that positions Leidos as a leader in the market.•Thought Leadership: Research industry trends, emerging technology, and trends in the government market to create compelling content that allows Leidos to increase their segment of voice in the market. This includes op-eds, blog posts, and talk tracks for SMEs that attend industry events.•Proposal Development Content: Work closely with Network Practice Area Lead, Sales Engineers, and Consultants to drive the development of reusable content for requests for information and requests for proposal, ensuring that written content aligns seamlessly with practice area capabilities and repeatable offerings. The goal is to create gold standard content that can be used as compelling proposal content to enhance bid efficiency.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of professional experience; Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.•Prior work history as a marketing communications writer with a solid understanding of writing content for the market that is clear, compelling and resonates with target audiences.•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and basic comprehension of SharePoint repositories.•Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.•Strong work ethic and desire to excel and keep growing over time.•Ability to manage workload with limited supervision and work as needed to meet deadlines (nights, weekends, and holidays at times)•Willingness to support team members and cross-train to provide back-up support.•Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.?•Limited travel to various locations around the Washington Metro Area, as needed.#practiceareaOriginal Posting Date:While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
