Purchasing Manager

The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Purchasing Manager in Hershey, PA area! The qualified individual is responsible for organizing and negotiating major contracts for multiple facilities. They will follow market trends and rate performance of suppliers. The manager will report to the Director of Supply Chain. The individual will work on process improvement projects and efficiency while performing benchmark analysis.Responsibilities:Assesses, suggests recommendations for, and develops a sourcing strategy and procedures for the implementing best practice standards Manages the daily operations to guarantee that the service and material requirements are met in as effective, efficient, timely, and ethical mannerOffers oversight of all additive purchases in compliance with the procurement procedures and policiesIdentifies optimization potentials and formulates strategies that deliver the greatest total cost of ownership through continuous spend analysisSupports and contributes to cross functional initiatives, projects, and complete process designs Analyzes performance of suppliers and develops improvement actionsCreates material groups and buying channels to effectively and efficiently classify and manage volume of sourcingOversees instruction and training to personnel to provide direction as it relates to all policies and proceduresCreates and upholds excellent working relationships cross functionally within the company as well as with external individualsQualifications:BS/BA with 5+ years of experienceSourcing and procurement experience required (food processing, food manufacturing, are strongly preferred)Best practices and benchmarks knowledge in the procurement and sourcing areaAbility to work collaboratively with external and internal individualsStrong time management and planning skills required Strong negotiation skills.Excellent communications skills.High proficiency level in Microsoft suite; strong ERP background (SAP highly preferred)
