Position Summary The VP Finance is responsible for partnering with the companys CFO and other executives by taking a lead on financing strategies, finance reporting and operations, and more complex finance projects. This in-person position, based in our corporate office in Philadelphia, will oversee a team comprised of a Controller, Property Accountants, and Accounts Payable Associates, and will require strong collaboration with other departments and stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities Manage finance reporting, financial tracking, and budgets for all group entities. Oversee financial aspects of acquisitions and sales. Manage bank relations and communication with lenders. Ensure timely and accurate completion of group entities annual tax returns. Participate in debt structuring. Lead projects related to systems, implementations, and new technologies. Provide leadership and supervision to the Finance and Accounting department, including Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees. Communicating expectations, monitoring job results, and providing feedback to encourage personal growth and development. Fostering a positive working environment that promotes teamwork Modeling leadership and staff development to cultivate new leaders within the organization. Perform other assigned duties as necessary. Qualifications/Requirements Adherence to the companys mission and values in all aspects of the job. Minimum 10-15 years experience Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent relevant work experience. Professional Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred. Proven leadership experience in personnel management. Experience with tax returns. Familiarity with property management accounting software, such as Rent Manager or Yardi. Strong attention to detail, organization, and precision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity. Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly. Responsive and open to feedback and growth. Hands-on approach to work. Strong leadership and delegation skills to maximize team effectiveness. Preferred Skills Real estate development, acquisition, and/or property management industry experience. Excellent time management skills. Adaptability. Fast learner. Effective communication with all stakeholders, including employees, management, and other departments. Salary And Benefits The salary range for this role is between $160,000 and $180,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
