Position Overview: The Director of Supply Chain will lead comprehensive supply chain operations, focusing on strategic sourcing, inventory management, negotiations, sales and operations planning (S&OP), purchasing, and cost savings initiatives. This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring alignment with our manufacturing goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize supplier performance and cost efficiency, ensuring high-quality materials are procured in a timely manner. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and practices, ensuring that stock aligns with production schedules while minimizing excess inventory and costs. Negotiations: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, fostering long-term relationships that benefit the company. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Facilitate the S&OP process, aligning production capacity and inventory with market demand to optimize resource allocation and product availability. Purchasing Management: Direct purchasing operations to ensure timely acquisition of materials and supplies, collaborating with suppliers to enhance quality and delivery performance. Cost Savings Planning: Identify and implement initiatives aimed at reducing costs across the supply chain, using data analysis and industry best practices to drive efficiencies. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and overall performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, finance, and sales teams to ensure cohesive supply chain operations that align with broader business objectives. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the supply chain team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain efficiency and effectiveness, using insights to drive strategic decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, particularly within the manufacturing sector. Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, inventory management, negotiations, and cost reduction strategies. Strong analytical skills and experience with supply chain software/tools (e.g., ERP systems). Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
