Sr. Electrical Engineer Berlin, CT Direct Hire Description: The new company is looking for a multi-disciplined Electrical Engineer with experience in one or more of the following areas: design and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms, FPGA firmware development, RF system and circuit design, RF/Analog/Digital circuit-card design, and/or embedded software development Role and Responsibilities: The candidate will work as part of a team to design, implement, and test a state-of-the-art radar system Education and Experience: Minimum: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field with 5+ years of relevant experience Preferred: Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering or similar filed with 3+ year of relevant experience Required Skills: We are looking for candidates with skills in one or more of the following areas: Development and simulation of signal processing algorithms using Matlab or similar tools. Implementation of signal processing algorithms in FPGAs, ASICs, or software Circuit card design (RF, analog and/or digital). Includes defining requirements, selecting components, performing schematic capture, testing and troubleshooting Development of real-time embedded software Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in any of the following are preferred: Design and implementation of signal processing algorithms for radar or wireless communication systems Schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer Xilinx FPGA development tools, i.e Vivado, Vitis, System Generator, Model Composer Xilinx Multiprocessing SoCs
