This Manager position will be located in the US as part of the Enterprise Risk Management & Risk Oversight team (ERM&RO). The Manager will join the Committee Governance & Policy Management (CGPM) team within ERM&RO. CGPM owns the framework and governance for American Expresss management committees and is responsible for orchestrating Enterprise Risk Management Committee meetings (ERMC) and partnering closely with General Counsels Organization to organize board risk committee meetings. CGPM also owns the governance of American Expresss policies and is responsible for the lifecycle of the companys management policies. Additionally, CGPM is leading transformational initiatives to enhance committee and policy governance commensurate with Amexs growth. In all aspects of its work, CGPM engages with leaders across the company, with unique insight into key risks and mitigation strategies. **Responsibilities:** + Support committee and board meetings preparation + Support and drive initiatives related to uplifting the governance of American Expresss policy and committee population + Help maintain CGPMs enterprise policy, team procedures, and other critical documentation + Design and lead annual exercise to validate compliance with committee and policy governance requirements **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk, compliance, legal, or regulatory roles + Bachelors degree required; advanced degree a plus + Strong communication skills a must, particularly written communication + Discretion when exposed to restricted/secret company information + Self-starter who works well independently in white space + Able to effectively manage multiple and often conflicting priorities under tight timeframes and adapt to frequent change + Able to lead without authority derived from band level + Highly organized with attention to detail, sense of follow-through, and accountability **Qualifications** Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
