Responsibilities Home Health Supervisor Our large progressive Home Health Agency serves a diverse client base throughout the Sacramento Service area. Strong multidisciplinary clinical teams are made up of dynamic, caring professionals! Position Summary: Supervises a unit of service that contributes collectively to the provision of high quality patient care. Monitors and supports the desired outcomes as established for their specific area of responsibility. Collaborates with other area supervisors as required to support the hospital's role as a community health service provider. Assists in implementing a unit Quality Management Program consistent with hospital wide Performance Improvement Plan. Operates the units within the financial and productivity guidelines, setting goals and developing policies that support this objective. Provides for quality services by ensuring that the staff are well trained in the services to be provided. Addresses, escalates or resolves unit issues, including problem resolution related to customer complaints, concerns and suggestions. Competencies: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement. Knowledge of the day"to"day operations in a home care services agency; ability to effectively manage and maintain activities that support the performance of home care services. Knowledge of policies, products, and processes of home based healthcare services; ability to utilize tools and techniques to provide healthcare services in a home"based environment. Knowledge of federal, state and local healthcare related laws and regulations; ability to comply with these in healthcare practices and activities. Knowledge of all clinical standards and policies set for a healthcare environment; ability to use industry standards, policies and procedures in the processes of clinical practice Manages collaboratively and coaches others to achieve optimal performance. Ensures that the patient/customer perspective is the driving force behind our actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing service practices that meet patients'/customers' and own organizational needs.
