We are a specialty store in all things garment-related. If you are a fashion design student or looking to design your own garments, this is a great way to learn about the products you use to create a garment.As a member of our team, you will assist customers, process transactions, help merchandise the sales floor and coordinate shipments and deliveries with the rest of our team. Customer service skills and ability to multitask are required as well as the ability to quickly learn about products and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Greet customers in friendly, welcoming manner as they enterIdentify customer needs and offer appropriate recommendationsPrioritize customer satisfaction and overall positive experienceDevelop solutions for customers by listening to their needs and recommending appropriate products or solutionsUtilized company's POS system to cash customers out.Utilize computer system to invoice customers with accountsArrange pick-ups and deliveries outgoing shipmentsAnswer and fulfill phone ordersSafeguard the shop's inventoryAssist in maintaining stock and setting up merchandiseCollaborate with other team members to keep sales floor area clean and organized at all timesCommunicate any issues or problems that may arise to manager to help resolve themWork as a team to achieve sales goalsRequired Qualifications Requirements:High school diplomaGED requiredAuthorized to work in USAAbility to multitask and work in fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and quick problem solving skillsPrevious sales experience (2+ years preferred)Able to navigate around computer and programs (knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus)Must have a positive, high-energy, friendly, outgoing and engaging personalityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLift up to 40 poundsComfortable standing for long periods of timeMove about the store, talk with customers, reach, stoop, crouch and climb ladders and be present at the counter for the majority of the shiftMust learn about products and their use in order to properly advise customers about specialty products in sewingpattern-making departmentAppreciation for fashionsewing is a plus!Submit your resume with your application, and we will reach out to you soon!
