A financial services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Employee Relations Investigations Associate.Responsibilities:Consult with HR Business Partners and the Legal Department concerning employee relations issuesConduct and facilitates complex, sensitive and time-critical ER investigations. Sources and reviews related documentsDocument investigative path, recommendations, and resolution; write investigative summaries in a clear, concise and legally defensible mannerServe as objective third party in reviewing terminations and disciplinary actionsEnsure fair and consistent employment practices are in place and being followedDesign, deliver, and execute large-scale projects or initiatives that involve reductions, integrations, new policyprograms, HR tools and training to promote positive management practices across the enterpriseConduct research and benchmarking related to projects, initiatives, and process improvements to drive positive employee relations and management practiceCreate and track data to identify trends; recommends remedial actionsKeep abreast of legal and regulatory requirements; communicate and update related policies accordingQualifications:5-8 years of Employment Law Legal experienceJuris Doctorate Specialized employee relations and employment law experience in the financial services industryExperience working with multiple partner groups including but not limited to Legal Counsel & Compliance professionalsSolid understanding of Financial Services business modelSolid strategic and tactical investigation skillsGreat interpersonal and advanced relationship management skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong attention to detail and highly organized Desired Skills:Specialized Employee Relations and Employment Law experience in the Financial Services industryExperience as a Nonpracticing Employment AttorneyID# 502563
