Sr. Business Analyst (FP&A)

Our client, a local, growing Private Equity firm has a newly created need reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance & Data Analytics, the Business Analyst will act as a bridge across a number of functional areas, which will require working closely with the accountingfinance team, analytics team, investment teams, and fundraising teams, as well as members of senior management.JOB DESCRIPTIONWork with Private Equity investment team to prepare quarterly valuations and projections for each investmentManage and track cash activity between the Funds and their investments on an ongoing basis in order to calculate performance information and ensure accuracy within the valuation waterfallsAggregate, manipulate, and analyze financial and non-financial data from a variety of sources, including operating partnerportfolio company reporting, Argosy general ledger and other systems, industrymarket studies, etcPlay a key role in supporting the quarterly reporting and audit processes, particularly with respect to valuationsProvide support for new investor due diligence questionnaires and related processesPrepare reports and analyses for use by the fundraising team for each strategyDevelop and maintain a variety of inter-dependent financial projection models across each of the investment strategiesWork towards developing and maintaining a variety of dashboard and reporting solutions using a combination of SaaS solutions, Power BI, and ExcelAssist in maintaining monthly financial information provided by portfolio companies to ensure that information in Chronograph (the SaaS-based Asset Management solution used by the Private Equity strategy) is up-to-dateOther duties as necessaryRequirementBS in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA is a pl3-7+ years of related work experience, with strong accountingfinancial knowledge around private equity or other investment company transactions, as well as experience performing valuations of private equity investments held in an investment company structure. transactionExperience with multiple categories of investments (e.g. distressed debt, secondaries) or with SBA-registered funds is a pluExperience with Microsoft suite of productAdvanced knowledge of Excel (preferably including PowerQuery PowerPivotWorking knowledge of Power BI (including DAX) and experience with data visualization is a pluExperience building and maintaining complex financial models (generally in Excel) utilizing both bottom-up and top-down approaches as necessarExperience with developing multi-year budgets and performing periodic reforecasts and budget vs. actual analyseExperience with AllVue, Chronograph, or Pereview is a plusLOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED
