Senior Accountant

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for their client in the Detroit metro area. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, with expertise in payroll tax, general ledger (GL) accounting, and managing multi-location operations. This role demands a proactive individual capable of efficiently handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Oversee payroll tax processes, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Support multi-location accounting operations, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all sites. Qualifications: Bachelor???s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-4 years of accounting experience CPA license is a plus. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
