Hardware Validation Engineer

As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hardware Validation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in enabling the adoption of our high-speed Ethernet semiconductor solutions in the automotive sector.Job Summary:This is a full-time hybrid role for an HW Validation Engineer at a startup in the Automotive Ethernet Industry. The HW Validation Engineer will be responsible for validating and testing semiconductor devices, participating in system design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as hardware designers, software engineers, and product managers. This role is located in San Jose, CA, but flexibility for some remote work is available.Key Responsibilities:Validate the chip functionalities, both electrically and at protocolsystem level.Use lab equipment to perform electrical measurements, like timing parameters, compliance testing, noisejitter analysis, etc.Write scripts to automate the functionalfeature testing, interface with chip designerboard designerfirmware engineer to study and debug silicon.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in hardware validation or testingKnowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi or other communication protocolsExperience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other test equipmentExperience with scripting languages such as PythonUnderstanding of electronic circuit design and analysisExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex problemsStrong communication skills and experience working in a team environmentFlexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup environmentEmployment TypeFull time permanentAxonne is an equal opportunity employer.
