Client - A cosmetic giant seeking a product designer in NYC Job Title: Product DesignerJob Description: Our client's Company Experience Design Team, within the Online Division, is looking for a Product Designer to provide best-in-class, accessible, and engaging user experiences for one of our brand e-commerce sites. The Product Designer will also create UI assets and propose UX recommendations to help optimize sales conversions for our global sites. The ideal candidate has a passion for design, great attention to detail, understands how to take direction & turn it into execution, and can handle multiple projects, quick turnarounds, and is interested in leveraging data-driven opportunities to ensure success across our e-commerce properties.Essential ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside their core team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed by data.A practitioner of universal design principles, design with accessibility guidelines in mind, and advocate across global product and with the brand creative and business teams.Collaborate on the global experience design with a focus on ecommerce core experience with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers, by understanding business needs and product requirements.Translate user needs and product requirements into conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mocks.Develop sound UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, the creation of scenarios and use cases.Deliver effective documentation and communication of design - via clear visual presentation and detailed annotation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Digital Design, UX Design, HCI, or related fields.3+ years of experience in UX, and UI design for e-commerce websitesAn online portfolio to showcase your ability to solve complex problems is a must.Familiar with Jira and Confluence, prioritizing and managing work in a fast-paced environment.Able to play well and thrive in collaboration with our partners and stakeholders.Mastery using design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative SuiteHas a "no task is too small" mentality.Familiar with setting up usability testing and delivering research insights.A clear understanding of WCAG 2.1 requirements and industry best practices around accessibilityinclusive design is a plus.Experience with e-commerce and social platforms in the beauty or luxury industry (plus)Experience working with research, testing and dataKPI to drive data-driven decisionsFamiliar with building and maintaining digital design system
