Freeman Mathis and Gary, LLP is a rapidly growing, national specialty litigation firm seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Walnut Creek, California, office. The following set of success factors describe the characteristics of those who are successful in our Firm:Helpful, Congenial, Personable, PositiveUnpretentious, Approachable, Respectful, Team OrientedAccountable, Takes Ownership, Corrects MistakesOrganized, Timely, Confidential, Responsive (within 24 hours)Ability to work with fast-paced team on high exposure cases received right before trial Duties and Responsibilities:Assist attorneys on our parachute trial team in the preparation of a civil case for trial.Discovery and records management.Ability to summarize medical and employment records, create medical chronologies, summarize discovery responses, prepare meet and confer correspondence.Motion writing experience, such as oppositions to motions including discovery motions, motions to continue trial.Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision and exceptional attention to detail.
