Logistics Coordinator The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth communication with customers and sales staff. This position plays a critical role in the efficient operation of our facility.Key Responsibilities:Shipment Scheduling:Schedule shipments from the Ronkonkoma, NY facility, including van trailers and export container shipments.Coordinate domestic pick-up dates and ensure timely dispatch of shipments.Customer Communication:Communicate with customers via email to request payments after proforma invoices are sent.Request bookings for shipments and follow up on purchase orders after sales are completed.Ask for and verify trucking information, including the driver's name, driver's license, and trucking company details.Sales Coordination:Work closely with the sales staff to ensure all sales information is accurate and up-to-date.Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to sales and ventory Management:Perform inventory-related responsibilities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of materials.Qualifications:Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience in logistics, shipping, or a related field is preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Familiarity with scrap metal processing or recycling industry is a plus.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.A dynamic and supportive work environment.
