Position Summary: The Fund for our Economic Future ("Fund") seeks a full-time Project Manager for Power Up Local, a nonprofit startup within the Fund. This role is an opportunity to join a small leadership team in an entrepreneurial environment supporting the critical work of transitioning to a clean energy future. Power Up Local is a new initiative currently being incubated by the Fund. This position has a starting salary of $75,000 when annualized with flexibility up to $100,000 when annualized for a candidate with demonstrated capabilities and significant relevant prior experience. The Program Manager will join a small team of professionals in a start-up environment. The person most likely to succeed is equally comfortable with public sector, non-profit and for-profit business environments. The person lives to create and manage to project milestones, brings order to complex projects, brings relevant content experience in the clean energy sector and is passionately committed to the transition to a just, clean energy future. The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of clean energy projects, leading interactions with engineering teams, and assisting with regulatory compliance. This role involves overseeing the project pipeline, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery, and coordinating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. The Project Manager will also support the development and implementation of innovative clean energy solutions for municipalities. The Project Manager will be an employee of the Fund and will work under the day-to-day direction of the Executive Director of Power Up Local. While the role includes the possibility of some remote work and schedule flexibility, the Project Manager will be expected to be regularly in-office andor in-community. Travel to projects within the State of Ohio will be regularly required, out of state travel may be required infrequentlyBecause of the place-based nature of this role, the candidate is expected to be local to Northeast Ohio. Geographically remote candidates will not be considered. Core Responsibilities: Project ManagementDrive day-to-day management of the project pipeline.Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.As part of a startup organization will need to be willing and able to establish new systems and processes within project management Stakeholder CoordinationLead interactions with engineering teams and consultants on a project by project basis.Coordinate with municipal partners, community organizations, and financial institutions.Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.Regulatory ComplianceAssist in navigating federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.Work with counsel to ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and standards.Reporting and DocumentationDevelop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.Deliver regular reports to the Executive Director and other stakeholders on project progress and impact.Ensure all project records are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.Conduct budget tracking and analysis to ensure financial adherence and identify areas for cost efficiency.Assist Executive Director in implementing and updating project tracking systems.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.Evaluate project performance and develop strategies for enhancing project efficiency and effectiveness.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in clean energy technologies and project management practices.Education and Experience Specific to the Position:No specific education is required for this position. A minimum of five years of full-time paid project management experience in a related field.Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in the clean energy sector.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including municipal leaders, community organizations, and technical addition, preferred background and experience: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.Experience working with municipal utilities, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to clean energy projects.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.A valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one.Good to Know: The Fund is a mission-driven organization.
