Network Engineer

Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet technologies. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of network protocols, firewall management, VPN configuration, and security best practices.Key Responsibilities:Network Design & Implementation:Design, configure, and implement network solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.Work with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet devices to manage LANWAN infrastructures, load balancers, and network monitoring work Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues to ensure uptime, speed, and security across the network.Perform network optimization, including tuning, firmware updates, and hardware replacement.Implement and manage VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.Security Management:Configure, manage, and maintain network security using Cisco ASAFirepower, Juniper SRX, and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.Ensure network compliance with industry standards and security policies.Monitor for security incidents, perform vulnerability assessments, and implement solutions as needed.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and standard operating procedures.Generate network performance and usage reports, and recommend improvements based on data analysis.Collaboration & Support:Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support and implement projects.Provide technical support and training to staff and other network users as necessary.Assist in network-related disaster recovery planning and testing.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of [3-5] years of experience as a Network Engineer.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Cisco (CCNACCNP certification preferred), Juniper (JNCIAJNCIP preferred), and Fortinet (NSE certifications preferred) networking devices.Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching, VLANs, and IP addressing.Experience with firewall management and security protocols.Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).Other Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
