CAD Artist/Print Designer - Girls

CAD ArtistPrint Designer - GirlsKomar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing and distribution of apparel with a diverse portfolio of owned, licensed and private label brands, has an immediate opportunity for a CAD ArtistPrint Designer who specializes in Girls NB - 16 to join our Komar Kids team. Candidates must be able to work in our Jersey City, NJ office.ResponsibilitiesCreate innovative prints and designs for Girl's fashion sleepwear sizes NB - 16 using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Translate and interpret current trends to create original prints for sleepwear.Design all over, engineered and placement prints.Color match, generate and update digital color palettes.Work closely with design team to set concept, color, and print direction consistent with brand strategies.Ability to communicate print and color direction to design team.Color all artwork to seasonal palette specifications; create repeats of prints.Scan, clean and create repeats from purchased art work.Color separate and prepare detail artwork for factory.Research current trends in print design and color.Qualifications:Demonstrated experience designing original prints using Photoshop and Illustrator.Advanced technical skills using Photoshop and Illustrator.Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.Possess a strong sense of colorprint.Experience working with print vendors.Ability to work at a fast pace and adhere to a design development calendar.Bachelor's Degree in Textiles & Surface Design or related degree preferred.
