As a Regional Manager of Fleet Maintenance you are accountable for effectively supporting seven (7) terminal locations within six (6) states in the Northeast. This leader will need to be able to multi-task in a demanding environment and motivate team members to meet the daily expectations, while promoting the company's Core Values. In addition, this position will coach and mentor employees, manage employees, and partner with vendors to establish a more efficient maintenance program. The Regional Manager position will travel weekly to all outlying terminalsshops to evaluate and assess the situations.A family-owned business since 1924, A. In addition, this position will coach and mentor employees, manage employees, and partner with vendors to establish a more efficient maintenance program. The Regional Manager position will travel weekly to all outlying terminalsshops to evaluate and assess the situations.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Troubleshooting and evaluating best practices for equipment repairs, out of service units, break downs and part procurementPerforming regular shop audits for conformance with standards for safety, cleanliness, appearance and need of repair or maintenance, and directs corrective measures required to meet standardsExecuting internal audits on work orders, part inventories and productivityConducting equipment audits to ensure Safety and DOT regulations are followedWorking with OE Reps on vendor related repairs and with warrantypolicy claimsHiring and managing employees within the region, along with all wage adjustments and yearly evaluationsCompiling a daily list of OOS units, evaluating down time and investigating any part delaysMentoring and helping train any new hire additions to the maintenance team on policy and proceduresAuditing weekly productivity reports and gives guidance where neededCommunicating with Terminal Management on anyall equipment related issuesPerforming equipment evaluation for possible decommission of assetsMonitoring vendor repairs for compliance with repair guidelinesExamining and approving all vendor related invoices with in the region adding commercial charges and invoices into the Fleet Maintenance SoftwareTo be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:Minimum 5 years' managerial experience in a fleet maintenance environmentStrong knowledge of Class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance and DOTOSHA guidelinesManagement experience; proven success developing future leadersFamiliar with the systems relative to today's heavy-duty equipmentMust possess the skills to manage remotely ensuring expectations are clearly communicatedStrong computer skills and proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookMust be able to multi-taskExcellent written and strong oral communication skillsCDLState Inspection a plusWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
