Data Migration Specialist

Title: Data Migration SpecialistLocation: Cleveland, TN 37311Duration: 9 MonthsDescription:Position summary:The manager needs hires in this position to go into the Center system and push information outexport patient data into a direct message so the data can be exported into a database and organized to be entered into EPIC.The document used to help push out this data and organize is a continuity of care document which is a regulated document that contacts aspects of patient care records.The manager expects a volume of 200 patients a day being pushed and exported. It's a single patient by patient push. These hires will work from a list of patients. It takes about 90 minutes to push 20 patients and there are about 60K patients needing to be pushed for this 9-month project.The data is very sensitive data that also requires a high level attention to detail. It includes data entry, understanding medical terminology, and someone who takes it seriously because records have to be correct.After data is pushed, during the project, there is a data conversion team that is going to populate the test version of EPIC. These hires and the data conversion team will review progress notes, medications, etc. This role requires IT familiarity, and clinical terminology to understand and validate the datanotes that are showing up, where they should be showing and if they are showing incorrectly, and once confirmed showing correctly this data will then go to the providers for them to validate the data for their patients ensuring everything is correct.This role will receive reports call CCD reports which has notes and histories which includes patient progress notes and physicals. The hires in this role will also export info from these reports and emails so the information is automatically uploaded into the tool organizing the data for export. Emails from the Cerner software which has notes will populate based on the type of notes and this info is what populates on the CCD reports to make sure all notes are captured. This role will also validate patient demographic info to ensure patient files and contact information are correct. It's important that hires in this role recognize data that isn't accurate, work efficiently and take their time but can work quickly so the migration isn't delayed.Great backgrounds for a role like this are Medi Techs and Coders.The manager isn't requiring candidates to have these backgrounds, but Medi Techs and coders will understand terminology, the software programs used and have seasoned experience working with large amounts of data.Qualifications:Must have at least 2 years of experience migrating and validating data from one software to another for a system migration. This role is migrating from Cerner to EPIC.EPIC and Cerner experiences are highly preferred, but not required.But candidates must have data migration experience, and at least 2 years of experience working with EMR Systems.Must have experience migrating healthcare clinical data from one EMR software to another.Candidates must have general IT background migrating data, clinical terminology, and EMR experiences.If candidates have been involved in a data migration project previously, please make sure this is highlighted on the resume
