Field Service Engineer - Basic Statement of Position BioView is seeking a highly professional customer focused Field Service Engineer to join our Support & Training team. The successful candidate will live in the Boston, MA area and serve as a support and training engineer for our clients in the Americas. HeShe will provide our new and existing customers comprehensive training of the BioView imaging products line. HeShe will be responsible for providing prompt support to our users, while achieving the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. HeShe will maintain a high level of technical expertise in all aspects of the BioView products, including the biological, computerized and optical features of our products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities ·      Installation of BioView systems at customers sites·      Training of new users to successfully operate the BioView systems & software·      Demonstrating BioView systems and applications·      Provide remote and on-site support to BioView customers by installing, fine-tuning, and maintaining BioView systems and applications.The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failuresYou will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfactionFrequent travel required, 60-70% of the time, mostly within the US & Canada, but may be to other regions on the globeRequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent in life science, biomed, or a technical fieldFamiliarity with Microscopy, Cytogenetics, Fluorescence In-situ Hybridization (FISH), Cell Morphology, and Immunostaining analysis is an advantage.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.Problem solver with good technical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to understand computer algorithms and to tune parameters.Outstanding ability to explain, demonstrate and present new biological and technical concepts to new usersOther requirementsHandle stress effectivelyWillingness to work outside of normal working hours and in rare cases on weekendsValid PassportValid driver license When not traveling, work is from our office in Billerica MA
