Accounts Receivable Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTIONEIS Legacy LLC is searching for a branch ARAP Specialist to ensure departmental accuracy, efficiency and strong administrative support to the ARAP Accounting team. The position will be responsible for managing the accounts payable, invoicing, collections and cash application functions, for the Menands Branch as well as additional duties at the corporate level as assigned.Duties and ResponsibilitiesHigh-volume data entry with exceptional speed and accuracyResponsible for invoice imaging and record retention of accounts payable, billing, and cash related documentsPrepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related informationMaintains financial historical records by filing accounting documentsReconcile and work received not invoice report for timely matching of AP invoicesProcesses vendor invoices by verifying and entering transaction information and allocating GL codingReconcile vendor statements monthly and resolve outstanding discrepancies quickly and effectivelyObtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and submitting invoices to the customer by various meansCollects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient paymentsStrengthen and grow relationships with vendors and internalexternal "customers" with a high level of customer serviceExercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reportingOther tasks as directed by managementSkillsAccuracy, detail-oriented, proactive with a sense of urgencyGood verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft excelRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equvelent experience2+ years of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience required2+ years of Credit and Collections experience requiredAbility to work a full-time 40-hr minimum work week, on-site, M-F and overtime as necessaryPhysical DemandsLong hours sitting, standing, and utilizing office equipmentcomputersAbility to lift 25 pounds on occasion
