Atlas is seeking a CAD Technician to join our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will support Project Engineers, Geologists and Scientists in the drafting and design of exhibits for our Abandoned Mine Lands (AML), Civil Site Development and Oil & Gas programs. The candidate will have experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D with a working knowledge of 3D surface generation, complex grading plans and the data management file organization for larger projects. The individual would ideally be reporting out of our Pittsburgh, PA or Morgantown, WV offices; however, this position may also allow the flexibility of a hybrid work (office or home) for the right candidate. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Preparation of plans, specifications, and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D software to support various projects involving environmental remediation, water, wastewater and stormwater management systemsAssist with the preparation of permitting packages required by governmental entities including, but not limited to: the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), county conservation districts, andor local municipalities for the completion of AML projects, Oil & Gas projects, coal and aggregate mining projects, and site development projects;Preparation of new details and design elements or modification of existing drawings based on redlines provided by othersAbility to interpret and develop detailed drawings from sketches and mark ups provided by othersProvide technical support and oversight of AutoCAD drawing production by municate effectively and efficiently with project team members.Provide general project support; and abide by Atlas' health and safety policies and procedures.Minimum Requirements:Associates degree in drafting, engineering technology, or similar field of study;5-7 years of relevant experience with CAD production for projects involving site development, erosion and sedimentation controls, wastewater, and stormwater management systemsPossess a high level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software including but not limited to: building surfaces, grading, creating profiles and sections, developing corridors and working with stylesCompetent in working with GIS systems and other mapping software is preferred.Working knowledge of ESRI software such as ArcGIS is preferredStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to read and interpret maps and project specificationsAbility to travel on occasion; and a valid driver's license Other Miscellaneous Qualities:Ability to travel 25% of the timeMinimum of 5 years experience..
