Senior Estimator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Senior Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for projects to ensure they are won Works with a team of Estimators in the development of a multidisciplinary estimate and works independently on projects of lesser scope and complexityReviews project plans, requirements and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project and develop scope of work, labor and equipment costsPrepares quantity takeoffs and pricing of scope either through self-perform production based estimate or unit price estimatingReviews and understands all bid documents and material requirements to assess constructability and product material requirementsInitiates subcontractor solicitations and quality discussions with subcontractors to gain detailed knowledge of portion of work for which the Estimator is responsiblePrepares bid packages; involves comparison and analysis of competitive subcontractor and supplier bidsAnalyzes subcontractor bonding capabilities, workload and prior performance relative to projectPrepares estimates according to the requirements of multiple delivery systemsCandidate Requirements: 10-15 years experience with standard construction concepts, practices, and proceduresConceptual and hard bid experienceStrong negotiation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environmentStrong interpersonal and time management skillsJob Offer: $125,000-$160,000 base salary Yearly bonus BCBS Healthcare package - cost covered 100% for the employee401K company match Laptop & company cell phone PTO, Sick Days & Floating Days Gym PassHSA Program
