Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary: Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the production process on the shop floornew product lines. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals and customer requirements are met.DutiesResponsibilities: Preparation of process sheets detailing tooling and setup requirements required for processes.Design andor create CAD drawings for: tooling, gauges, gauge holders, and fixtures.Prepare tooling cost estimates for processes by conducting tool usage studies.Read and interpret part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts.Select new and improve existing tooling for machining processes.Provide technical support for production floor.Research and report the requirements (cost, labor, tooling, equipment) for implementing new production processes.Program and operate CNC machine tools.Manage all cost savings by departmentline.Generate monthly reports.Work with manufacturers on tooling improvements and problem resolution.VendorCustomer problem resolution.Perform miscellaneous activities as requested by management.Required SkillsAbilities:Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and methodologies.Proficiency in CADCAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products and services.Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.Experience working in manufacturing engineering preferred.Linamar Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and encourages diversity in the workplace without regard to any basis protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
