Johnson Law Group, a fast paced, high-volume plaintiffs' law firm headquartered in Houston, Texas, is seeking an Attorney to join our legal team in Cleveland as we expand our footprint into Ohio. We seek an energetic and driven Personal Injury Attorney for our growing Auto Accident Personal Injury Division. This role requires previous experience in handling auto accident cases in volume. The ideal candidate should have experience leading a team of personal injury department members. Candidates must also thrive under pressure, have the ability to multi-task, and be self-motivated.Responsibilities:Handle personal injury case files from start to finishEvaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordinglyDraft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documentsResearch case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the caseCommunicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather informationNegotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriateRepresent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigationDocument and update the status of all case files in the case management systemManage a team including paralegals and legal assistantsQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) and Ohio state bar membership required7 - 12 years of experience practicing lawCandidate must have Auto Accident Personal Injury experienceRequirements (Must Have):Strong client-facing experience in any field; ability to communicate clearly with our clients is a mustCase management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple clients, projects and deadlinesPreferential consideration for mediation experienceSuperior organization skills with great follow throughAbility to multi-task and prioritize appropriatelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsDeadline and detail-orientedExcel skills are helpful
