DescriptionSystems/ Electrical EngineerDuties/ Responsibilities include but are not limited toSupport Navigation and ship control systems and equipment.Participate in requirements development and design reviews of next generation test tools including prototypes.Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of current and future systems.Modify existing simulator software and hardware to support ship control and bridge systems requirements.Troubleshoot existing hardware and software.Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications/ Required Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering2-4 years of experience networking and/or scriptingKnowledge of IP network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to embedded systemsAbility to obtain and maintain a secret clearance (US Citizenship Required).Desired Characteristics:Technical writing ability.Experience using LabVIEW for rapid prototype development.Physical / Mental Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
