Financial Analyst

SUMMARY The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing, refining, and tracking expense reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills. The candidate must also demonstrate strong independent reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the capability to think and act proactively. The Financial Analyst will work with various internal departments on a regular basis. This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Analysis. WHAT YOU WILL DO Collaborate on the buildout of the annual enterprise budget/re-forecast Preparation of departmental expense tracking reports Lead monthly meetings with department heads to go over financial results Review accuracy of the coding of data entered into ERP system to align to budget Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process Assist in tracking performance against budgets and business plans and recommend modifications as appropriate Exposure to suite, sponsorship and ticket sales revenue reporting Assist in crafting and updating financial reports that are distributed to senior leadership Ad hoc reporting as necessary, including excel modeling, management reporting dashboards, etc. The above noted job description is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to give the associate a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of their position. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, Economics, or Business Management required 1-3 years experience in an analytical and finance role, including internships Experience in Workday Adaptive, NetSuite and Excel a plus Experienced in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to nested formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Exceptional analytical skills Understanding of financial analysis with the ability to evaluate and communicate strategic implications Flexibility to work the hours needed to meet firm deadlines WHO YOU ARE Uncompromised ability to protect the confidentiality and privacy of others in addition to company documents and records when privy to sensitive information Strong independent thinking, reasoning, problem solving and decision making skills Ability to effectively prioritize and perform multiple tasks with varying deadlines Ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships Strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence Flexible and reliable teammate, both within own department and within company as a whole Customer service mentality with strong interpersonal skills: must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes and be attuned to others through strong active listening skills Possess the ability to identify problems, their source, and potential solutions, while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Infrequent Traveler ( SALARY RANGE $65,000 - $80,000 base salary WORK ENVIRONMENT This role is based in our corporate headquarters in Brooklyn.
