Exciting new opening, Luxury Private Members' Club in New York - $70,000 - $75,000 per annum Position: Sous Chef Location: Manhattan, New York Start Date: January, 2025 Estimated annual salary: $70,000 - $75,000 + 15% KPI bonus Hours : approx 50 hours per week Schedule : 3 double shifts and 1 single shift per week, with 3 days off Sponsorship: is offered for the right candidate We are excited to be working with the opening of a luxury private members' club that is set to debut on Madison Avenue in New York City within a historic location, offering a unique experience in luxury and exclusivity. Spanning two stories and 12,000 square feet , the club is poised to be an opulent retreat catering to high-profile clientele including royals, billionaires, and celebrities.The club will feature various dining concepts, including an exceptional Mediterranean fine dining restaurant and an upscale bar, offering a more gourmet dining and casual sophisticated concept. Key Responsibilities : Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of culinary excellence. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute innovative Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, upholding the club's distinguished reputation. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times. Manage inventory and coordinate with the purchasing team for optimal stock levels. Contribute to menu development and seasonal updates with creative input. Ideal Candidate : Proven experience as a Sous Chef in luxury or fine dining establishments. Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine with a flair for innovative culinary techniques. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a passion for team development. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Experience working in exclusive or private members' clubs is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the schedule. Qualifications Strong culinary background with experience in Mediterranean cuisine Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and continuous improvement Fine dining experience and ability to uphold high-quality standards Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and management Bartending experience is a plus for versatile food service capabilities This role is an exciting opportunity to join an exclusive new opening in beautiful New York!
