Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Financial Analyst-SOM Reporting. In this role, the successful candidate as a senior financial analyst you will be responsible for supporting our financial close process monthly reconciliations and analyses of financial activities. You will also liaise across the various NYU Langone Health departments on accounting issues to ensure all teams are contributing to the integrity of the monthly financial statements. We re looking for a critical thinker and problem solver to join our accounting team Job Responsibilities: Support the daily operations of the Accounting department as well as the financial statement close process including account reconciliations and analyses Assist with our annual financial statement audit and preparation of the consolidating audited financial statements Performs other duties as assigned Ad hoc special projects as needed Prepare standard and adjusting journal entries as well as cash flow statements profit and loss statements and balance sheets as part of the monthly and quarterly close Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor s degree in accounting and knowledge of general accepting accounting principles; Have 2-4 years of accounting experience preferably including some public accounting experience; Are proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel; experience with Peoplesoft or similar ERP system is a plus; Are proactive detail oriented resourceful and have the ability to problem solve. Required Licenses: Certified Public Accountant Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: A cost accounting background is preferred Experience with a not for profit healthcare institution and a cost or general accounting background preferred Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $102,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
