External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Your Role: EMD Electronics in Branchburg, NJ is seeking a QC Fab Technician. Under the direction of the Supervisor, the QC Fab Technician conducts functional testing of photoresistors, ancillary chemicals, raw materials, and other semiconductor processing equipment in a class 100 cleanroom. The QC Fab Technician acquires lab and safety supplies, keeps proper documentation, and observes all safety practices. The Technician reports results of experiments and tests including basic analysis of data using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP and quality system software. Responsibilities: Carrying out functional testing of production and test request samples using semiconductor processing and metrology equipment following documented work instructions and safety practices Monitoring inventory of Fab developers Participating in wafer cleaning and priming, measuring physical properties of wafers such as contact angle and cleanliness, using all the tools involved in the process Practicing good housekeeping by cleaning sample bottles after testing, emptying hazardous waste containers, filling Acetone container, and keeping work area and fume hoods clean Ensuring all safety protocols are met Working in teams with other groups for testing of new products and methods Carrying out Safety checks in the Fab Completing trainings before the deadlines Physical attributes: Wearing PPE, including wearing a respirator when needed This is a second shift position: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm with weekends as needed. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field 1+ year of experience in a Quality role 1+ year of experience in a chemical environment 1+ year of experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and SAP Experience performing statistical analysis and interpretation of data Experience in a semi-conductor Fab with wafers Prior clean room experience Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills Demonstrated ability and wiliness to learn Self-motivated What we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
