We are looking for a Human Resources Director who will provide strategic counsel to assigned client companies as well as hands-on day-to-day HR support, which may include associate relations, performance management, and employment law and/or general HR compliance. As the Human Resources Director, you will also focus on the development of human resources policies, procedures, and systems focused on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent for our multi-state teams. The successful candidate will have a drive for excellence, be curious, and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional internal customer support contributing to a strong and collaborative culture. *This position can be based out of Columbus, Ohio, Nashville, or Memphis, TN, and will serve as the human resources business partner to assigned client groups (agencies) within Centerlines client portfolio. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Provide counsel and owns HR process for assigned client companies - including performance management, disciplinary/investigation processes, policy and procedure interpretation and application, conflict in the workplace, harassment, discrimination, compliance, and code of conduct for a multi-state employer. May lead, drive and/or champion performance management programs and processes - continuously monitors programs and makes necessary recommendations for changes with the goal improvement feedback cycles, employee engagement, growth and development. Manage, track and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations. Address confidential and sensitive personnel issues that require follow-up and consultation with senior leadership. Coach employees in problem resolution and direct them to the proper channels to resolve issues while helping to interpret and apply policies and procedures. Obtain and analyze data to identify and understand workplace trends and proactively and preventively make recommendations to address workplace challenges and align programs and initiatives with overall business strategy. Monitor and engage with associates and supervisors/managers to keep a pulse on employee relations and engagement. May work in partnership with recruiting team to support and drive the full recruitment cycle for assigned client companies; including but not limited to sourcing, pre-screening, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, offer negotiations, and onboarding. Coordinate and champion onboarding and off-boarding process - provide support to the payroll and benefits team by conducting benefits training and other related training and employee communications. Conduct exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data. Notify leadership, payroll and applicable internal team of new hires, resignations, promotions, salary increases and terminations. Develop (as needed) and facilitate human resources-based training, such as Harassment Training, Performance Review Training, and other supervisory and management training. Develop or assist in the development of employee communication. Act with a high degree of integrity, ensuring all reports are documented and actioned in a timely and thorough manner. Ensure compliance for local, state and federal regulations and laws. May supervise one or more employees. Occasional travel may be required. Requirements: At least 7 to 10 years of Human Resource Experience in a progressive, fast paced, professional services environment. Marketing communications/advertising agency experience is ideal. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Communication or a related field. Masters Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Previous experience in supporting multiple client groups and/or companies at the same time. Experience working in multi-state employer jurisdictions. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of all human resources principles and practices, including employment law, EEO compliance, benefits, recruitment/retention, growth planning, legal analyses, conflict resolution, management, program building and staff training. Previous experience in developing and managing HR programs Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced in preparing reports and other business communications and presentations Skilled in developing and presenting to internal/external groups. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS programs including applicant tracking and performance management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment as well as strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships that fosters trust. Sound judgment, high integrity, problem-solving/analytical skills and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information while managing conflicting priorities.
