Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 Annually Location : LaGrange (Troup County), GA Job Type: Full Time Salaried Job Number: Division/Section: District 4 County Position Opening Date: 06/06/2024 Closing Date: 11/30/2024 5:19 PM Eastern Description IT Director Mgr 2, Information Technology District 4 Public Heath 301 Main Street LaGrange, GA 30240 Leads activities in IT fields such as electronic data processing, information systems technology, and electronic security. Oversees the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives. Directs subordinate managers and staff. All District 4 Public Health, County BOH employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Distribution site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours. Job Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of IT including strategic planning, evaluation, development, implementation and administration of all systems and infrastructure. This position must ensure that proper practices are followed in the utilization of technology including federal, state, and local laws, industry best practices and a well-established strategic plan/direction. Oversees the development and implementation of IT projects, telecommunication projects, and other technology related initiatives. Manages the development, daily operation, and support of production information systems. Oversees the work of staff involved in programming, computer operations, vendor interface and or support services. Ensures the overall security of our network, etc. and the telecommunication devices, etc., as well as security as it relates to HIPAA. Works to support the statewide business objectives of DPH to establish the direction and manage the efforts of activities in IT fields such as electronic data processing, information systems technology, and electronic security, converting those objectives into actions and programs. Oversees the development and implementation of statewide IT projects and initiative on behalf of the district. Has a broad scope and high level of responsibility within the agency. Represents District 4 by attending relevant statewide meetings and represents the IT department at local district meetings.
