SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:The position is responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of overall Risk Management of the Trust Division.Position requires critical thinking and ability to communicate findings professionally to colleagues, their supervisor, and senior management.The position is likely to be involved in highly sensitive situations and is expected to demonstrate strict confidentiality. Position is expected to maintain a robust understanding of risk management policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.2. Analyze and evaluate potential risks and hazards and developing strategies to mitigate them.3. Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of potential risks.4. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.5. Collaborate with other departments to identify and manage risks associated with their activities.6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management.7. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management strategies and plans.8. Provide training and support to staff on risk management best practices.9. Stay current with emerging trends and developments in risk management.10. Perform research both independently and under supervision.11. Assist in compiling requested documentation as requested by internal and external auditors and regulators during . WORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates in a professional office environment.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The employee is frequently required to: 1) Type or otherwise work with fingers; 2) Talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing - perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make the discriminations in sound. 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing a computer monitor and extensive reading. Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds.This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.TRAVEL:No travel is required unless for training and/or conferencesCOMPETENCIES:1. Ethical ConductREQUIRED/ PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Minimum of bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.At least 5-8 years' experience in a related field (Banking, Trust, finance auditing, accounting).Professional certification such as Certification in Risk Management Assurance(CRMA) or other relevant certification not required but given preference.Knowledge of Risk management frameworks and methodologies. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
