**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Behavioral Health - Psychiatric Unit **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights, 18:45 - 07:15; Every Other Weekend **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **License:** Oregon RN License required (Can apply for an emergency license upon offer) **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA **Must-Have:** Behavioral Health Experience **Job Description:** - Work within a 12-bed psychiatric unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 to 5. - Provide care for patients with psychiatric, mental health, and behavioral health crises. - Collaborate with Certified Nursing Assistants and Mental Health Associates on the unit. - Participate in up to 3 on-call shifts per 13 weeks. - Rotate weekend schedules and fulfill holiday requirements (up to 1 major and 1 minor holiday). - Float to different units as required. - Wear business casual attire or scrubs in any neutral color. - Chart patient records using the Epic system. - Undergo unit-specific orientation, including a mental health education packet and up to three 12-hour shifts with an experienced RN. **Additional Notes:** - No experience required in titrating drips. - No tele/monitor techs or reading of strips necessary. - Access to a 24/7 pharmacy. - Participation in care settings involving acute division nursing. - Orientation includes comprehensive practical training and education support.
